From the very start, even before you make a booking, I want to make sure the photographs of you and your family are exactly what you are after. To break things down and make everything super simple to understand, I’ve had a think about all of the most frequently asked questions I've received over the years, and (hopefully) I've done a sterling job of answering them without you ever needing to ask!
I want you to feel fully informed, and certain that you know how it all works and that I am the perfect photographer for you!!
Oh yeah, and if you still have questions... you can reach me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org

I photograph maternity sessions, newborns, children, and of course families.
My photographic style is based on candid, photojournalistic photography. I place emphasises on capturing moments that arise from natural connections between people. So there is a little bit of prompting, and a little bit of posing to help bring out those natural moments.
If you are looking for studio-style newborn photography with bonnets, floral headbands and miniature baby beds, unfortunately, I’m not your go-to person.
All outdoor sessions take place at various tried and tested park/field locations south of the river. We will work together to find the closest and most suitable option for where you are based and the type of session you are after.
Indoor sessions are not just reserved for newborns, but families too. These sessions take place in the comfort of your own home.
All outdoor on-location sessions are booked one to two hours before sunset as this is the time that the sun is at just the right spot to create beautiful, flattering light for your session.
Indoor, Family Lifestyle and Newborn Lifestyle sessions are photographed in the morning.
Once your completed agreement and retainer is received, your due date/interim session date is reserved.
However even if you are booked for a c-section/induction your baby’s exact arrival date cannot be guaranteed so your final session date and time will be confirmed after baby is born.
While my natural style of photography does not require your baby to be less than 14 days old, we would still like to get some sleepy baby memories, so the earlier the better. I ask my clients to notify me within 48 hours of baby’s birth and from there a date is confirmed for your session.
You will be sent a comprehensive client preparation guide which includes tips and examples for choosing your outfits once your session is booked.
In that guide, I walk you through the process of choosing your outfits, and I let you know what does and doesn’t photograph well.
Kids will be kids and sometimes, that’s half the fun! We will work with what we have and I’ll also send you some info prior to your session that will maximise your chances of happy munchkins!
You will receive a link via email to view your private online gallery within 2-3 weeks of your session. Your images can be shared and downloaded directly from the online gallery which will be live for a 2 week period.
I am always as excited as you to see how they turned out, so session previews will sporadically be uploaded to Facebook and Instagram, or emailed directly to you as I work through your gallery.
All of my packages are digital only which means that you receive all of your images in digital format and are not required to order artwork through me.
But wait... I am going to advise you against printing through box store labs.
You will have already invested in documenting your family memories as you are now; they are priceless memories and should be printed in a way that reflects that.
So, for images that will last the years and not fade, and for colours that are as true to the way I intended them to be, professional print labs are best. The age-old adage that you get what you pay for has never been more true!
The short answer is no; no they don't.
However, as a small business owner, being able to show off the beautiful images that we create together, is paramount to my success.
I mean... if you had never seen any of my images would you even be here reading these FAQ and considering making a booking?
So if you have any reservations... please have a chat with me to see if we can work a way to serve us both.
